ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Registration Now Open for the Clerk's 11th Annual Valentine's Day Group Wedding

A single ceremony will unite all couples in attendance on the most romantic day of the year. The couples and their guests will celebrate with wedding cake and refreshments provided by local sponsors. The Clerk has waived the normal $30.00 ceremony fee. Standard marriage license fees will still apply. To participate, couples must sign up no later than Friday, January 27, 2017.

Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

On January 1, 2015, U.S. District Judge Hinkle’s order provided clarity to Clerks throughout the state as to their responsibility and duty in the matter of issuing same-sex marriage licenses. The Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office will begin processing same-sex marriage licenses at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

Please be sure to review the information on this page regarding marriage application requirements. Also, please note you can now print the new forms and fill them out in advance before arriving to our office.

Copies of marriage licenses for Pinellas County are available for viewing and purchase in the Official Records Rooms at our stated locations.

• The charge for a copy is $1.00 per page and an additional $2.00 to certify the document, if certification is needed. If you are going to use the copy for a legal purpose, you would want to have the copy certified. There is no charge to view a document.
  
  
• You may also send a written request for a copy. Please provide the bride's maiden name, the groom's name, and if known, date of marriage. Please make checks payable to Clerk of Circuit Court. The mailing address is Clerk of the Circuit Court, Official Records, Room 163, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, FL 33756.

The Clerk of the Circuit Court acts as an agent for the State of Florida for issuing licenses per Florida Statute 741. This webpage is designed to provide you with the necessary information to fill out a marriage license information form and save you time when you visit one of our office locations.

The Marriage License Department is here to answer your questions concerning the purchase of a marriage license in Pinellas County. As a public service our Deputy Clerks are authorized to perform ceremonies.

Marriage License Application Forms
You can download and print the Marriage License Information Sheet online. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required in order to complete and print the forms on your computer. The Marriage License Information Sheet and the certificate provided to you upon completion of the Premarital Course (if a Premarital Course is taken) are required at the time of application for the license:

  The below form should be completed if both the bride and groom are the biological parents of a minor child(ren) born within the State of Florida.

• Affirmation of Common Children

You must come to the Clerk’s office to file your paperwork.

Deputy clerks are authorized and available during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, to perform marriage ceremonies. No appointment is necessary. The fee for this service is $30.00. Normal marriage license fees apply.

The Pinellas County Clerk's Offices now offer wedding photos for a $10 fee.
