ANNOUNCEMENTS
Notice of Increase in Passport Execution/Acceptance Fee
Effective April 2, 2018, the U.S. Department of State is increasing the passport execution/acceptance fee from $25 to $35. The fee increase only applies to U.S. passport applicants using the DS-11 form, such as first-time applicants over 16 years of age, children under 16 years of age, and applicants who re-apply after reporting their previous passport lost or stolen.
- Passport photo service is now available for a fee at our Clearwater Courthouse, North County, St. Petersburg and Tyrone Branch locations.
- Anyone, including infants, traveling to a foreign country requiring passports, will need a passport.
-
Every applicant MUST appear in person, regardless of age (even minor children).
-
You should apply for a passport several months before you actually need it. If you will need visas from foreign embassies, you will need to allow even more time.
-
A passport, on the average, will take a minimum of six (6) weeks from the time the Federal Passport Agency receives the completed application. The
passport will be mailed directly from the Federal Passport Agencies located throughout the continental United States to the address you provide. Expedited service is
available for an additional fee plus overnight delivery charges.
- Please note: The Clerk's Office does not schedule appointments for passport applications. Passport applicants should expect longer wait times
between the hours of 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., as these are the office's busiest times.
- Please read ALL OF the following important messages regarding Passport Applications before you click on the link at the bottom of the page for more information regarding applying for a U.S. passport at a Pinellas County Clerk's Office.
- As of January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling BY AIR between the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America,
the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport book, Air NEXUS card, or
