CRIMINAL COURT CUSTOMER SERVICES
The main functions of the Criminal Court Customer Services Department are:

to assist the public, the State Attorney's Office, the Public Defender's Office, Salvation Army and Department of Corrections probation officers, and private attorney's in Misdemeanor, Traffic, Felony, Juvenile and Domestic Violence cases; and

to assist in arranging payment plans and Public Defender appointments for those who are eligible for these services.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES
Any person who is either the victim of domestic violence, or has reasonable cause to believe he or she is in imminent danger of becoming the victim of any act of domestic violence, has standing in the circuit court to file a sworn petition for an injunction for protection against domestic violence. You must appear in person at one of the Clerk's Office locations listed here to file for an Injunction for Protection. The staff in the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office will assist you in completing the necessary paperwork to petition the court for an Injunction for Protection.
